Real Aikido is the evolution of Aikido that combines the best tools from Aikido, Judo, and Jujitsu martial arts techniques as a true form of street smart self-defense. Not only does Real Aikido borrow from traditional hand-to-hand combat, but it also incorporates defensive maneuvers against weapons like knives and handguns.
This flexible system of martial arts, developed by Grand Master Ljubomir Vracarevic, a self-defense instructor from Serbia, is perfect for high-profile security, bodyguards, and also the average citizen. This is because the Real Aikido training regimen is easily applied to real, everyday situations.
Since Real Aikido uses the enemy’s own power and gravity against him, you do not need to be a big, strong, martial arts expert. There is no age that is barred from practicing Real Aikido. It can be very empowering to men, woman, children, and even the elderly. It also improves basic functions like balance and self-confidence, as with most effective self-defense programs.

Real Aikido is Serbian self-defense martial art. Real Aikido is efficient, widely applicable self-defense skill, derived from traditional aikido, judo and jujitsu. The founder of Real Aikido is Grand Master Ljubomir Vracarevic, holder of the black belt, 10th Dan, professor of Real Aikido and Ju-jitsu. Thanks to his long experience acquired and improved by continuous contact with first-class Japanese masters of this skill, master Vracarevic distinguished several thousand techniques, purified them, reformed their elements, introducing in his own knowledge from other fighting skills, creating a new style Real Aikido – extremely efficient and flexible system of defense techniques. Flexibility of Real Aikido is just one of its most important characteristics. Putting together different techniques according to the real situation, maximal efficiency is achieved. Transition from one to another technique is simple, and only knowledge and skill will determine which elements someone will use. These unlimited possibilities of combining, enable multiple applies of Real Aikido.
There is no age limit in practicing Real Aikido. This skill is very convenient for the adults’ recreation and it also effects decidedly on children’s psycho-physical development and mobility. Real Aikido is especially suitable for body guards and special military and police units training. BLACK BELT FOR CHILDREN
Extraordinary talented children of this age have an opportunity to undergo preparations for getting a black belt for children. During a longer period of time, in agreement with an instructor, they are to prepare parts of the established program and to undergo a testing procedure before the WCRA refereeing corps, headed by Grand Master Ljubomir Vračarević, the founder of Real Aikido.
The program comprises:
- Demonstration of all types of motion (correct posture, resolute correct motion)
- Correct performance of all types of falls
- Principles of release from various types of grabs
- Perfect performance of at least 5 of each defense techniques:
- Various types of frontal grabs
- Various types of grabs from behind
- Hand strikes in the head from above
- Hand strikes in the head from a side
- Leg kicks
- Karate strikes
- Knife attacks
- AVOIDING attacks from two or multiple opponents.
